Health and Wellness Tips to Stick to This Summer

This summer, enjoy your lazy days of summer, but remember to take care of you. Eat healthier snacks. In summer, a wide selection of fruits and vegetables, Nosh on them instead of something salty. If you need something with a few samples of delicious cookies crunchy nuts now, soak in a little hummus, yum! And who is not grateful for what frozen yogurt is back and all the rage! And it's not frozen yogurt for 80 years, it is new and improved and delicious! Best of all, it is much lower in calories than ice cream, and in my opinion even more flavor.

Exercise three times a week. Summer is the perfect time to get out and enjoy the fresh air. Walk or take the dog for a walk. Watch your children out to enjoy the weather, join them! Try to get at least thirty minutes to an hour of exercise three times a week.

Reduce caffeine. Caffeine interferes with sleep patterns and energy levels. Too much caffeine can also contribute to high blood pressure and other serious health problems. Mayo Clinic says you should not drink more than 200-300 mg of caffeine per day; he is 2-4 cups a day.

Drink extra water. Bit 'of water to drink each day depends on your weight, activity level and the climate where you live. But since most of us do not drink the water should you drink is safe to say that drinking more water every day to improve health. When you're hydrated you will notice that your skin look better, you have more energy, and that you can manage your weight more easily, too. I like it in the fridge to cool some 'fruit in it (a little trick from my shi-shi The Spa) is a small taste.

Walk more. It's simple, but walking can improve your cardio-respiratory and physical functioning. Walking is the perfect way to relieve stress, clear your mind and wind down. Hounds take long, or children and get some quality time with your loved ones. At a minimum, try to walk fast for either 10 minutes or 30 minutes a day three times a week.
