By basic things I mean, taking the stairs instead of using an escalator or elevator. Getting up from your desk if you have a sit-down job and walking around the office. A good rule of thumb to follow is to get up and move around every 20 min. Just take 5 min. and take a stroll through the building do a few stretches and you will find that you feel much more energized and actually much more efficient at what you're doing.

Another simple and basic health enhancing thing that anyone can do, and that is to simply drink more water. I know that many people are coffee drinkers or soda drinkers when it comes to their choice of beverages. But your body craves water and is essential for your body to function properly.

The main reason that so many people go for a soda or coffee is because they feel so run down and depleted of energy. Although these drinks may provide a quick boost, in the long run they will actually cause many negative effects your body that range from dehydration to unwanted weight gain.
